Following the completion of our two new Huf Haus developments on the Haining Cottage site, Ascot, we feel it more than necessary to praise Danny Galvin and his team for their outstanding work with us. All of the staff was hardworking and friendly helping us ease the stress of the project management.
The efficiency of the team was remarkable allowing the completion of the project to be right on target.
We at Queenshill are very appreciative of the experience and dedication brought on site by the team and knows it was very crucial in the success of our development. Danny was always polite and willing to help. His involvement in the construction has surely benefited all parties involved, especially the neighbours.

QUEENSHILL LAND & ESTATES LIMITEDThis was a first for us in building our own home, a Huf-Haus with basement. Whilst appreciating the choice of ground workers was an important decision I was of the view that digging 'a hole' was not difficult. We chose Danny because he demonstrated superior knowledge of Huf-Haus construction following his involvement in a large number of Huf-House builds for his business like approach, and general likeability . We were still of the view that this was going to be one of the most expensive holes in the area. Danny managed all services during the period of construction of the house - another minefield if you have no previous experience. Unusually for this day and age he is always contactable, and returns calls if he is unavailable. We are now living in our Huf-Haus and are delighted with it. We are now firmly of the view that our expensive hole in the ground was value for money, and dread to think of the complications that could have arisen if we had selected a less knowledgeable and efficient company. It was a pleasure to have Danny and his colleagues on site, and we would thoroughly recommend DG Site Preparations.

East SussexThe development of Windmill House involved the demolition of an existing 1960's bungalow and the construction of a Huf-House, with full basement. On the recommendation of HUF HAUS GmbH & Co. KG, we appointed Danny Galvin of DG Site Preparations Limited to act as project manager in respect of ground works, including demolition, excavation, footings and drainage, and services, including liaison with the relevant utility companies and their many sub-contractors. The project was completed on time and within pennies of budget. I would recommend Danny as a project manager on any construction project, but his very detailed knowledge of what is required by Huf House was particularly valuable in supervising the setting out surveyor and the ground works contractor. He is clearly well regarded by Huf House and with good reason. I have been involved in millions of square feet of commercial development and I know the value of a good project manager. Danny is one of the best!

BedfordWe employed DG Site Preparations Ltd not only to handle this work but also project manage the interfaces with Huf and the variety of service companies. The total cost of the works was significant, however, the quality and timing of this area of the process is critical to the functioning of your new home and both Danny and Frank added tremendous value to the process. In essence they know the Huf organization intimately, with a strong relationship ensuring their advice is both accurate, but also they can 'make things happen' when needs be. They carried out the works on time and with no negative impact on the local planning department or our new neighbours, they even lent a hand to the Huf teams at various times when assistance was required. An additional benefit was I learnt a great deal about what is under my new home! In summary, I would not have another Huf home built unless they handled this critical first phase - it's as simple as that.

BucksWe employed DG Site Preparations to demolish the old house on our site and then prepare all required ground works for as-bay Huf Haus with basement. Our site has a slope and hence some slightly more difficult drainage issues. As we had no previous experience of building our own home, we were particularly in need of some extra guidance and attention, and we found Danny Galvin to be very helpful and friendly in dealing with all of the matters that came up before during, and even after the ground preparation process (e.g. dealing with the often complex, difficult and time consuming ways of the various utility companies). . For those of us not familiar with the house building process, this is a daunting prospect, and so it was a great relief to be able to feel as confident as we did that we were in good hands with DGSP. The site preparation was completed on time and on budget, and the co-ordination with Huf was handled efficiently (clearly benefiting from the strong relationship and understanding that Danny and his team have developed with the Huf construction supervisors). We would enthusiastically recommend DG Site Preparations to anyone undertaking a similar project.

BerkshireHaving just taken final completion of our new Huf Haus it seems a good time to reflect on the successful building programme which started in January this year. As qualified Architects my wife and I are in no doubt that the most crucial element and the highest area of risk in the construction process is related to the satisfactory excavation and completion of the grounds works package. Danny Galvin and his team through their experience and professional approach have capably removed these elements of risk entirely and provided a helpful and outstanding technical delivery of this important package of works. Based on our own considerable experience in design and construction together with the experience of our own house, we would unhesitatingly recommend Danny and his team for similar projects. Personal service is not easily achievable in the construction process and our project has clearly benefited from just such service and delivery.
CHRISTOPHER LIDDLE - Chairman HLMAD LimitedWe engaged your team for the demolition of our old house and groundwork's / foundations to support the new House build during May/July 2008. You gave us sufficient confidence that we were not required to "be on site" at all which meant that we were able to continue with our jobs far more effectively than we suspect other contractors allow. This was greatly valued. You helped us navigate through the disconnection/reconnection of the utilities. You and your team were extremely pleasant to work with being open, honest, and helpful in any queries we had. We were always supported with "ad hoc" requests such as supporting the Eco Homes assessment, installing the rainwater harvester or connecting utilities to our temporary mobile home. Also, you and your team are very sociable and professional and it is always good to see you "on site".

SurreyDanny Galvin was chosen as the ground worker to demolish our previous house and to prepare the earthworks in order for Huf to construct a foundation, basement and finally the entire house. The final result is a 3 storey, 6000sq.ft house sitting on a sloping site. Danny also managed the services and utilities for us which were extremely helpful given that they are notoriously difficult to deal with. On a personal level, both my wife and I got on very well with Danny and his crew and were always impressed by the calmness and politeness of his dealings with us and others.

BucksI am pleased to provide a reference for Danny Galvin of DG Site Preparations Ltd., who carried out the Ground works for our new Huf Haus, just completed, here in Dorset. Danny, Frank and their team were excellent, very courteous, professional and very good at their jobs. Their timekeeping and work rate was of the highest order. Danny also liaised with all the utilities and installed the foul and storm water drainage system, including a small pumping station. His previous experience was invaluable, and I don't think the project would have gone as well without him. We are now settled into our new home and very happy, well done Danny!

DorestWe can whole heartedly recommend Danny Galvin and his company, D G Site Preparations Ltd. In full consultation with HUF Haus - we could readily understand why they recommended Danny so highly - he undertook and oversaw the full groundworks, including the excavation, de-watering and earth removal. He organised the supply of all the necessary utilities to the site and - on time and on budget - delivered the site to HUF Haus fully ready and prepared for the building of the basement. Danny has been courteous, helpful and a pleasure to deal with throughout and, even after his work had been completed, was always happy to be contacted if he could be of further help to us.

GERRARDS CROSS BUCKSDG Site Preparations Ltd have a total understanding about what a Huf Haus build involves and Danny liaises both with the English and German people with great rapport. Being able to deal with all the utilities and their organising takes time and effort and Danny seems to have it all under his control. I found Danny and Frank very supportive and always found them both very agreeable.

West SussexDanny produced a quote which was very comprehensive. During the build process he stuck to the quote and I have not incurred any extra costs related to the quote. He carried out the work on time and to an extremely high standard. In addition to this Danny introduced me to other companies that I have employed to carry out other work related to the project. They have all delivered a very good service and have carried out the work in the time frame that was indicated and at the prices they quoted.. They have very good working relationships with all the companies that make up Huf House and this has proved invaluable during the build. Huf Haus work in a very particular way and DG understands the process and can advise a client of what is expected of them. They can spot potential problems and iron them out before they become an issue. I recommend Danny, Frank and Philip wholeheartedly and wish them well for the future.
